Kobo is also preparing to bring something new in their lineup, preparing to introduce a new eBook reader low end. The device in question is called Kobo Touch 2.0 and will replace the predecessor of the same name as entry-level product.
The technical details about the new eReader not many because the manufacturer has not presented officially the new model. But we know that talking about a device with touch screen E-Ink Pearl to 6 inches, with a panel without backlight (exactly like its predecessor) since it’s just a cheap product.
The resolution should be still below that of HD, probably 800×600 pixels with a density of 300 ppi, enclosed in a chassis from 154 x 114 x 91 mm for 181 grams of weight. Moreover, the new Touch 2.0 will be equipped with a range of less than 2 months, double the previous model.
The new model has been included in its price list from Canadian retailer Indigo that it offers a starting cost of $ 81 Canadian, equivalent to about 55 €, a figure in line with the pricing policy of Kobo.
It is likely that Kobo decides to officially present the new Touch 2.0 at the ‘IFA 2015 in Berlin.
