Leap Motion, Oculus Rift, both share the characteristic of being innovative gadgets and be immersive devices either through the eyes or hands allows us to interact with virtual objects. From the combination of both, comes Collider a Labs Funktronic project.
Collider is essentially a procedural game where our movements are generated each level. Gestures to move along a psychedelic tunnel hull fail Oculus to dive into the image and Leap Motion to “sail” waving their hands in the air.
There is a distinct playful approach in this project but the true nature of Collider is aesthetic experience. Leave the real and sumerginos in those polygons and garish colors that encourage us to move your hands to pick up objects and make them collide. Going the Distance remembers the magnificent Super Hexagon.
The interesting thing about this project is that its presence is not limited to art galleries or events with very limited access. If we have a Leap Motion Oculus Rift and you can download the software and experience it for ourselves. Worth taking a look at the video to understand what it is.
